Head Coach Playbook
At Coaches Help Coaches, our flagship program, the Head Coach Playbooks, are designed to fast-track the culture-building process and handle the logistical aspects of head coaching at a smaller school.
This resource is tailor-made to help coaches establish a winning environment, foster team spirit, and manage off-field responsibilities seamlessly.
Through the playbook, coaches gain access to detailed step-by-step guides, countless templates and handouts in customizable formats so you can tailor everything to your coaching style, and real-world insights that pave the way for a successful coaching tenure.
02
Coaching Community Forum
Alongside the playbook, Coaches Help Coaches provides an exclusive forum where members can share experiences, seek advice, and collaborate on problem-solving.

This community is a vital resource, offering peer support and enabling coaches to learn from others facing similar challenges.

The forum is regularly monitored and contributed to by both co-fouders Coach Zach & Caleb Baber. The forum is a dynamic space for continuous learning and networking within the Coaches Help Coaches community.

Comprehensive Year One Checklist
Eliminate the unnecessary stress of not knowing what to focus on as a new head coach with our comprehensive timeline that outlines your top priorities and optimal timing in year one.

In my first year as head coach, I spent more time stressing about what else I should be doing than anything else.

Our Athletic Director would often ask me if I needed anything or how things were going. I would always give a similar answer - "I think things are going really well, but I don't know what I don't know."

Save yourself the headaches and take advantage of our detailed checklist today!

Coach Baber's Personal Story:
During my first year as head coach, I was told multiple times to be patient and how it would take at least 3 years to establish the culture I wanted.

I wanted to prove all these people wrong. I wanted to be the exception to their rule.

At the start of my first year, I believed that focusing on the players, their mindsets, and the X’s and O’s alone would get me to the promise land.

Then, after seemingly flying blind and having to learn many things as I went, I realized these “3 years” people were right.
However, they were right for the wrong reasons.
These people were right because I didn’t know when and how often to interact with parents and what to include in my player/parent handout. They were right because I didn’t know how to run a social media page correctly. They were right because I didn’t know how to build a youth program. And the list went on!
I needed a playbook to tell me what to do on the logistical side of head coaching.

I needed a resource that would tell me the specific timing and steps that needed to be taken.

This is why I created this program. I want to get other potential and newer high school head football coaches from point A to point B much quicker than I did.

I have come to find that if you nail the logistics, you will build the trust needed from the players, staff, administration, parents, and community to create the culture you want.
